Husband picked me up from work today and we headed out to Peter's Creek. Didn't see any grouse, but these little fellows were all over the place. We also saw a bald eagle hunting, lovely snow-capped mountains, a full moon, and sunset over Susitna, Spurr, and Redoubt. A great hike, even if my shoulders are now hurting!

I love the black capped chickadees! I've got several bird feeders in my yard and I love to go sit out there and watch them eat, and listen to them talk amongst themselves.
